Supporting British Racing

We help keep racing running 364 days a year. Under contract from the BHA we provide the vital administrative work that powers British racing, as well as providing commercial services which support the growth and success of racing in the UK.

We process and administer registrations, ensuring that owners, trainers and jockeys have access to perform their key administrative work which enables them to participate in racing. We also register names, colours, sponsorships and supply this data to the media and public to increase the coverage of racing globally.

Since 1770 we have handled the Stakesbook, recording and processing prize money and fees on behalf of racing, work which we still do today. Our history is steeped in heritage – since 1791 we have maintained The General Stud Book, the first and only verified record which can trace any Thoroughbred back to find their first ancestors.

Supplementing these core responsibilities is our commercial operation, which provides key products and services such as racecards, industry publications and data to the racing industry.
