Point-to-Point

Point-to-Point racing is the proving ground for the next generation of National Hunt horses.

Pointing is the amateur side of the sport – racing held over fences at a variety of casual venues across Britain for amateur riders. The racing is organised at a completely local level under the jurisdiction of the Point-to-Point Authority in conjunction with the Weatherbys-owned Point-to-Point Racing Company.

The Point-to-Point Racing Company administers Pointing in the UK, taking jockey bookings, sorting entries and checking weights. A wealth of information is available on their website – pointtopoint.co.uk - and is a vital resource for watching race replays, finding entries and checking results.
