Weatherbys is at the heart of British horseracing and it is our responsibility to assist the British Horseracing Authority in its role of ensuring the smooth running of racing 364 days of the year in the UK. We do this by providing administrative and data management services under contract.
Weatherbys is proud to play its part in maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance that are such a feature of British racing.
The Racing Admin System is where you carry out your racing related tasks and administration activity, including:
Horse racing captivates the imagination of millions of people across the world and, unlike many other sports, you can be right at the heart of it by becoming a registered racehorse owner.
The role of a trainer is crucial. They’re responsible for the wellbeing of their horses, keeping them fit and getting them in prime condition to race.
Access the latest and previous issues of the Racing Calendar online.
Point-to-Point racing is the proving ground for the next generation of National Hunt horses.
Trainers and owners can enter horses to take part in races online at the New Racing Administration System (NRAS) or through Weatherbys. We check horse qualifications and assign weights based on BHA-allotted handicap ratings and race conditions. We update horse records with foreign races and maintain Europe’s largest racing and breeding database.
Jockeys can be booked through the New Racing Administration System or directly with us. Declarations to run are made two days before a race. Our team finalises the list of runners, eliminates horses if needed, and randomly allocates stall positions. Racecard data is then exported to media outlets like Timeform and Racing Post.
Weatherbys provides racecourse officials with digital information on horses and riders. After the race, we receive finishing positions, rider weights, and non-runner information. This data determines prize money and is used for future weight allocation.
We're here to help. Our team is here to listen and help you answer any questions you may have.
